This post may not belong here in consideration that it is not within the theme of the page. However, it was a sojourn on my bicycle, a trip to the Pembroke Herring Run where the memorial is located.
As I have written in America’s Betrayal: Daily there always seems to be an existential reminder of the immorality of war. It is always with me, staring me right in the face: primarily Iraq and Afghanistan, but also Korea and Vietnam.
And, so it is on this day.

Watched this egret for quite a while. Started shooting my camera when I thought the time was right. He finally caught his prey, which I believe was a frog, but could have been a small catfish.
